Just how do musicians make it in 2020 with all their gigs cancelled and only the kindness of Venmo to help with the live streams? Well, honestly, I have no idea. BUT! My profit model at digital Victrola has always been altruistic… youknow, exactly that thing that the Big Boys are not.

I’m now employing a 50/50 profit model. DigVic and the artist splits all revenue (after the recouping of original production costs) “even steven,” 50/50, we sink or swim together. And the subscription is pooled and shared among the artists proportional to their presence in the catalog.

The year 2020 has been a big enough problem. I want to solidify the relationship we have between musicians and audience, but only by becoming a part of the process can we do that.
