Jeff Sanford
Under the direction of Jeff Sanford, the Cartoon Jazz Band has been delighting audiences since 2002 when Jeff brought a suitcase of big band music by Raymond Scott to a Monday night rehearsal band in the outer reaches of San Francisco's SOMA district. Raymond Scott was the gateway drug and over the years the band’s music folders have bulged to include Fletcher Henderson, Charlie Shavers, Duke Ellington and original arrangements and compositions by members of the band and from Grammy-nominated guitarist and composer Lenny Carlson. This band will morph from a septet to a nonet to an orchestra, but as long as Jeff’s name is on the cover it means crazy-great music!
